Gavin Kelly

Bio

Gavin Kelly is a director celebrated for his meticulous craft, technical brilliance, and emotionally resonant storytelling. Moving fluidly between animation, live action, and VFX, he creates visually striking, character-driven worlds.

After discovering digital tools in art school, Gavin began his career in Dublin’s top post houses before his award-winning short Avatar Days launched him onto global campaigns. A multiple ICAD, Kinsale Shark, and D&AD winner, he recently collaborated with Epic Games developing the Unreal Engine project 'IRL' and was awarded feature development funding from Screen Ireland's Perspectives initiative in 2025.

He remains perplexed by humanity’s devotion to a beverage made from burnt toast scrapings called “coffee.”

Richard leads the studio—inspiring our multidisciplinary team, scouting emerging global talent and driving exploration of cutting edge technology. With his years of insight working with creatives, he translates studio briefs and collaborates with clients to produce award winning work.

Richard also develops original IP and builds creative partnerships with global brands. He has collaborated with some of the world’s leading names, including Juventus Football Club, Takara Tomy, Heineken, Three Mobile, Virgin Media, and Citroën.

Richard once designed Ireland’s first circular stamp.
